On 14^th July 2020, Ms Pratima Phadatare conducted an online awareness session on Organ Donation for Extentia Information Technology, Pune.

Mrs Jaya Jairam introduced MOHAN Foundation it’s Mission, Vision and its Objectives. Then she explained the concept of organ and tissue donation. She also explained types of death i.e. circulatory death and brain death. She explained about the process of brain death identification and declaration through Apnea test which is mandatory for procedure of Deceased Organ Donation. She also explained procedure involved in Live Organ Donation. She then elaborated procedure of skin, bone and eye donation, as well as barriers of organ donation.

After that Ms Pratima Phadatare explained myths and facts related to organ donation and how it impacts on organ donation process. She then explained about the Donor Card and how to become an organ donor and the activities of MOHAN Foundation conducted for volunteers programme i.e. Angels of change programme. She also shared the online link to the participants promoting to become an Organ Donor.

Around of 25 participants attended the session & a few pledged online. Thanks to Mrs. Jaya Jairam who conducted the session nicely and elaborated all things nicely, and all the participants for their presence and motivation to support the cause of organ donation.
