On 23^rd January 2020, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Chintamani Hospital Kurla (W) for giving sensitization about the Oran Donation to their Chintamani Hospital staff. Mr. Nitin Tambe represented MOHAN Foundation for giving awareness on Deceased Organ Donation.

Mr. Nitin held session and introduced MOHAN Foundation, its mission, vision and philanthropy. He introduced the concept of Organ and tissue Donation. He also explained the type of death viz. Cardiac and Brain Death and the Organ and tissue that can be donated. He also described the tissue donation (Skin & Corneas) can happen even at home which caught attention of the staff. He also discussed about the Organ Donation that can happen in case of Brain Death case and number of lives that can be saved. He then addressed about the myths related to Organ Donation to the gathering & explained them how we can debunk them by illustrating the real facts about Organ Donation. Also they were invited to join in our volunteering program. A detail of Organ Donation Helpline No. 18001037100 was also shared.

About the 8 staff attended the awareness session. About 4 pledges were taken & few were fill online. We thank Dr.Mathre, Ms. Nilakshi for inviting us and supporting the cause of Organ Donation.
