MOHAN Foundation Conducts Awareness Talk on Organ Donation at The Indian Red Cross Society, UT Branch, Chandigarh

On 28^th May 2019, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the Training Supervisor, The Indian Red Cross Society, UT Branch, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation for their First Aid Students at Karuna Sadan Building, Chandigarh. Around 45 participants from various parts of Punjab, Haryana & Chandigarh College Students, Patient Care Attendants, Home Nursing, Nannies and Bus Conductors participated in the program.

Participants were given the presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Neha Sharma.

In this talk she explained the following points: -

Organ donation types and who can be a donor
She challenged 5 myths with 5 facts on Organ Donation
Difference between natural death and brain death
Real life stories of an organ transplant being shared with the participants
Importance of Donor card
To pledge their organs they can register at MOHAN Foundation

It was an interactive session. Around 45 people were present in the training room and 20 of them picked up their donor card. MOHAN Foundation thanks the The Indian Red Cross Society for the opportunity.
