On 17^th March 2019, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr N P Iyer, President of Giants group Kalyan Metro and Mrs Shruti from Yogshrut for giving awareness about the Organ Donation to the participants taking part in 3km Walkathon. Yogshrut had organized this walkathon ‘Family Fun Walk’ on Sunday morning from 7 am to 8 am after this to create awareness under campaign ‘Recycle Life’ along with celebration of International Women's Day, Giants Group of Kalyan Metro had organised talk on Organ Donation.

Dr. Jimmy Gupta introduced MOHAN Foundation as an NGO working passionately for deceased organ donation past 21 years. She explained the difference between Cardiac Death & Brain Death in-depth. Then she elaborated about the organs & tissues that can be donated by both the cases. She also introduced the public about new advances like Hand & Uterus transplant.

She also described that tissue donation (skin & eyes) can happen even at home which caught attention of the crowd. She then discussed about Organ Donations that can happen in case of Brain Dead case and number of lives that can be saved by giving the examples of successful transplant stories articles and news about green corridor which was somewhat familiar to the participants. About 100 people attended this program.

Mr N P Iyer who is our first Life Member and working passionately to spread the awareness described the importance of discussing about Organ Donation within the family and to carry Donor Card always in purse or wallet.
