On 20^th February 2019, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ms. Sapna Agarwal (HR) to give an awareness talk about Organ Donation to their employees at Decimal Point Analytics Pvt Ltd, Chakala, Mumbai.

Dr. Jimmy Gupta held an awareness session and introduced MOHAN Foundation, its mission, vision and philanthropy. She introduced the concept of Organ and tissue donation. She also explained the types of death viz. Cardiac and Brain Death and the organs and tissues that can be donated. She elaborated the procedure about bone donation which was a new topic for the public. She also described that tissue donation (skin & eyes) can happen even at home which caught the attention of the crowd. She then discussed about Organ Donations that can happen when a person is declared Brain Dead and the number of lives that can be saved, by giving examples of successful transplant stories articles and news about green corridor which was somewhat familiar to the gathering. She also explained about the religious barriers and myths related to organ donation.

Dr Jimmy lastly showed few heart touching videos about organ donation to the employees so they can empathize with the power of organ donation. Also they were invited to join in our volunteering program.

About 60 employees attended the awareness session. About 10 pledges were taken & few were filled online. We thank Ms Sapna Agarwal (HR) and Mr Shailesh Dhuri (Executive Director) for inviting us and supporting the cause of Organ Donation.
