Dr. Mohamad Azhar, Principal of the Anjuman Girls Degree College in Sadar, Nagpur, invited MOHAN Foundation to deliver an awareness talk for the students of the institution. The session took place on 23rd January 2019 and Mr Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator from MOHAN Foundation delivered the talk which was attended by around 33 students and staff.

Mr. Behera gave information about organ donation and transplantation using a PowerPoint presentation. In his talk he explained the following points:

• Importance of organ donation
• Type of donors
• The tissues that could be donated in case of natural death
• Brain death and the organs and tissues that can be donated in case of brain death
• Myths related to organ donation
• Whole body donation
• Importance of Donor Cards
• Importance of Helpline number and MOHAN Foundation website

Following the talk, the audience had the following questions:

• At the time of an actual donation, who would be the appropriate person to sign the consent form?
• How much would a liver transplant cost?
• How is the recipient waitlist prioritized?

At the end of the session around 3 participants signed up as organ donors and received their donor cards. Dr. Naheed Suri thanked MOHAN Foundation and the participants.
