On 22^nd January 2019, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the secretary, Red Cross – Punjab, Chandigarh to conduct Workshop on organ donation on the occasion of National Youth Day at Vivekanand Bhawan, Chandigarh.

The prominent people attended the program - Mr.C.S Talwar, IAS, Secretary, Punjab State Red Cross, Dr. Mukesh Aggarwal,Vice Chairman, Haryana State Red Cross, Mr. Vishal Jain, Managing Director, Shefali International School, Ludhiana, Mr. Jagdish Mittal, IPS and all other staff  members of Red Cross and students of different schools and colleges from all over the Punjab, around 200 participants attended the program.

Participants were given the presentation on organ donation by Ms. Neha Sharma.

In this talk she explained the following points: -

• Organ donation types and who can be a donor
• Organ donation statistics in India
• She challenged 5 myths with 5 facts on Organ Donation
• Difference between natural death and brain death
• Age is not a constraint in donating their organs
• Importance of Donor card
• To pledge their organs they can register at MOHAN Foundation

 The entire group was so energized that they would support organ donation movement in a big way. It was indeed an amazing program the entire group got motivated and convinced to support organ donation many participants picked up the donor card.
