Daan Utsav  formerly known as “The Joy of Giving Week”  (2nd to 8th October 2018) is a festival celebrating “acts of giving”- money, time, resources and skills- spanning the corporate, NGO and government sectors, schools, colleges and general public. Indian Oil Corporation had joined hands with 22 non- governmental organizations to create awareness on various causes. Nearly 50 petrol bunks in Chennai were provided space for NGOs to open their kiosks and engage customers in fun activities and spread awareness on various social causes.

MOHAN Foundation set up an awareness stall on organ donation at the Indian Oil Corporation petrol bunk in Aminjikarai, Chennai. The stall was open to the public between 11 am and 2 pm. Mr. Amal Antony Augustian (Intern Madras Medical Mission College of the Health Sciences) was the resource person in charge of awareness stall. Numerous people had approached the stall to gather information about organ donation. Brochures and green ribbons that indicate support to organ donation were distributed and the stall provided people the opportunity to register and pick the donor cards. At the end of the week we had 71 donor registries at our registration desk.
