On September 19 2018, Mr. Pechiyappan (CSR) Suryoday Small Finance Bank, Hasthampatti, Salem invited MOHAN Foundation to deliver an awareness talk on organ donation. The programme held at the Suryoday Office was attended by around 42 members of a Joint Liability group from 6 different centers.

Mr. S. Dileep Kumar from MOHAN Foundation was introduced to the audience by Mr. Pechiyappan. After allowing the audience to share their understanding of organ donation and transplantation, Mr. Dileep began his presentation and was able to cover the below topics:

• Kidney stone, its impact and the cure
• Lung and breast cancer
• Dietary habits
• Transplantation of Human Organs Act
• Saving lives through organ donation
• Registration process in case of organ requirement
• Who can be a donor and types in organ donation
• Difference between natural death and brain death
• If age would act as a constraint in organ donation

After a brief Q&A session, Mr. Pechiyappan thanked Mr. Dileep Kumar for conducting the session.
