K.J. Somaiya Medical College, Sion invites MOHAN Foundation to conduct awareness for their MBBS students |

On 6th August, Mrs.JayaJairam was invited by Dr ShobhaKini, a professor at K.J.Somaiya Medical College, Sion (Everard Nagar), for conducting an awareness talk on organ donation for their MBBS students and teachers. Mrs.Jaya Jairam introduced MOHAN Foundation, its vision and activities to the 130 strong audiences. She went on to speak about what is organ donation, types of donors, organs and tissues that can be donated, why think of organ donation and lastly how to take the Pledge. She also touched upon the myths and facts relevant to organ donation. This initiative was organised by a Rotary member, Mrs. MadhuriLele, for the Guinness World record attempt by Rotary District 3131 in association with MOHAN Foundation, ZTCC Pune, Sahyadri Hospital, etc., for maximum number of persons taking pledge online on www.giftlife.co.in on 9th August 2018, between 11 am and 7 pm. Mrs. Jaya Jairam appealed to all in the audience to go online and take the pledge. We sincerely thank Dr ShobhaKini and Mrs. MadhuriLele for their support for the cause of organ donation. |
