On 6^th November, 2017 MOHAN Foundation Mumbai was invited by Col D P Singh of Senior Citizens Association, CBD Belapur, and Mr. Vijay Kulkarni, to conduct an organ donation awareness for the senior citizens of Nandadeep Senior Citizens Club, Vashi, Navi Mumbai.

After sharing a brief introduction about MOHAN Foundation and its activities, Ms.Jaya Jairam spoke about what is Organ Donation, why is it needed, who can be donors and the process of how organ donation and transplantation is done. She also discussed the various barriers, myths and facts relating to organ donation.  She went on to share her personal story of how she decided to work towards furthering the cause of organ donation after herself undergoing a kidney transplant.

A lot of queries were asked regarding the process of organ donation as well as the process of registration on the waiting list. Mrs.Jaya Jairam answered all the queries.

23 odd participants took the pledge to donate their organs.
