Bharti AXA one of the private players in the field of insurance invited MOHAN Foundation for an awareness program for the staff at the Chennai office on 31^st August 2017 at 2 PM. Mr. Siva Shankar represented MOHAN Foundation and took the session on organ donation.

Before starting the program a video was played on Tamil Nadu as the state leading the way in Organ Donation. Mr. Siva Shankar started the talk on the concepts of Organ Donation. The session was interactive as Mr. Siva Shankar asked questions and they were able to answer. MOHAN Foundation is happy that Aishwariya who was one of the participants took her donor card already. The topics discussed were:

1. Organs that can be donated – when and how
2. Who gives consent for Organ Donation
3. TRANSTAN (Transplant Authority of Tamil Nadu)
4. DONOR card
5. Myths on Organ Donation

Mr. Siva Shankar gave a clear cut picture of Organ Donation so that everyone understood what Organ Donation actually is. There were 12 participants during the session and 9 of them took their donor in support of Organ Donation. A video was played at the end of the session on a donor who donated his/her organs and saved 9 lives.
