Dr. Charu Mahurkar Director of Avanti Institute of Cardiology Hospital, Nagpur, invited MOHAN Foundation  to deliver a talk for the residents and nursing staff of the Institute on 17  July 2017. Mrs. Snehal Puniyani H.R Executive, Quality Department members Miss. Diya Thakare & nursing staff were present for the talk by Dr. Ravi Wankhede, Director, MOHAN Foundation Nagpur.

Dr. Wankhede delivered a talk on the Concepts of Organ Donation. He explained the following points:

• What is Organ Donation and the Law
• Who can donate organs
• Types of organ donation
• Brain Death, Natural Death and Coma
• Myths related to Organ donation
• Deceased donation cases in Nagpur
• Kidney transplant hospitals in Nagpur
• Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and Website

It was a very interactive session. About 40 resident doctors and nursing staff were present at the talk. 6 participants signed consent form and took donor cards.
