MOHAN Foundation was invited by the members of Telangana Eye, Organ, Body Donors Association (TEOBDA) to participate in the annual meeting of Telangana Retired Employees Association and conduct an awareness session on organ and tissue donation to their association members on June 20^th, 2017.

There were about 120 members that attended the program and all of them were told about the importance and need for organ donation in India. They were explained in detail about the concept of brain death, Transplantation of Human Organs Act, misconceptions and myths regarding organ donation. All the participants were distributed with information brochures and 85 donor cards were distributed to the members that have pledged to donate organs.  

We thank Telangana Eye, Organ, Body Donors Association (TEOBDA) and the members of Telangana Retired Employees Association for providing this opportunity to interact with their members and for organizing this event supporting the noble cause of organ donation.
