Awareness talk on organ donation at Jawaharlal Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sector

On 22^nd February, 2017, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ms. Santosh Sharma, Principal and Mr. V.K Bhatt, NSS Program Officer, Jawaharlal Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sector - 25, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their students at the NSS camp of their school. Approximately 60 students from class 12^th attended the session.

Students were given an introduction & presentation on organ donation and brain death by Ms. Deepika Arora. The talk focused on concepts of organ donation and transplantation.

Explained the following points:-

Necessity and importance of organ donation
Types of Donors
In case of natural death which tissues can be donated
In case of Brain death which organs and tissues can be donated
Myths on organ donation
Importance of Donor card

After the session Mr. V.K Bhatt, NSS Program Officer motivates the students in a big way and promised that they will definitely work on this noble cause and asked to take Pledge for Organ Donation.
