Nearly a month ago Kamal Hassan Welfare society decided to promote organ donation.  They made special donor cards for their campaign in association with MOHAN Foundation. About 75 members registered online and 30 members came for the function.

On 27^th November 2016, on the occasion of National  Organ Donation Day, there was a discussion about the awareness of organ donation. The introduction speech was given by Mr. Hemanth, from Kamal Hassan Fan Club. He also introduced the chief guest Dr. J. Amalorpavanathan, former Member Secretary, TRANSTAN. Dr. Hemal Kanvinde, Quality Assurance Officer, MOHAN Foundation gave a presentation on the activities which are being done by the Foundation and the importance of organ donation.

Dr. J. Amalorpavanathan gave a clear and detailed idea about organ donation. Many doubts and questions were asked and our chief guest cleared them all. The audience came from different areas like Urapakkam, Bangalore, Trichy etc. though majority belonged to the Kamal Hassan Welfare Society of South Chennai. There was a lot of interaction and a festive atmosphere was felt during the session.

Then there was also an exhibition on Organ Donation in the Chennai Office. Donor cards were issued to all the registered members of Kamal Hassan Welfare Society.

The society promised to take this message to many more clubs and continue to associate with MOHAN Foundation.
