The Management, Staff and Students of JNN School decided to have a silent rally to create awareness about organ donation.  This was an outcome of a talk given to the students about organ donation in August 2016. They invited MOHAN Foundation as a resource partner and the event was sponsored by Lions Club of Meenambakkam. The rally took place on 3^rd November 2016 from 10 am to 11.30 am covering 2 km of the busy Periyapalayam Market Road under the guidance of Mr Thilak, Vice Principal of the school.  Mr. Manikandan, Mr. Sathiyamoorthy and Dr. Hemal Kanvinde represented MOHAN Foundation. Caps and refreshments for the students were gifted by Lions Club of Meenambakkam.

200 students of 8, 9 and 11 standards and 11 teachers participated in the rally, flagged off by a student.  It started from the Government office grounds and ended at the end of the market.  The students carried banners, posters and placards to create awareness.  The staff distributed brochures to the public, shopkeepers and motorists and bus passengers.  Many people asked about organ donation a concept they had never heard.

At the end of the rally, MOHAN Foundation thanked the students for their effort in creating awareness in their neighbourhood, the management of the JNN School for undertaking the rally and Lions Club of Meenambakkam for their support.
