MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Kalyan of Leo Club of BN Reddy Sevadarshini to conduct organ donation awareness session at the blood donation camp organized at Sri Chaitanya School on July 26, 2015.

Dr. Koti Reddy explained the purpose, necessity, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation, concept of brain death, cultural and religious barriers, THO Act and myths related to organ donation and the role played by media in taking forward organ donation.

There were about 30 participants that participated and all of them were distributed donor cards and information brochures. The participants reacted positively to the idea and have promised to spread awareness about organ donation in community. Many of the participants were also interested to know about whole body donation.

We thank Mr. Kalyan for his kind support in organizing this awareness session and also thank all the other organizers for their support to this noble cause.
