On 8th June 2015, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr. Vijay Kumar of NIN Retired Employees Association to conduct organ donation awareness session at National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad.

Dr. Koti Reddy explained the purpose, necessity, importance, complex issues in deceased organ donation, concept of brain death, cultural and religious barriers, THO Act and myths related to organ donation and the role played by media in taking forward organ donation.

There were about 30 participants that participated and all of them were distributed donor cards and information brochures. The participants reacted positively to the idea and have promised to spread awareness about organ donation in community. Many of the participants were also interested to know about whole body donation.

We thank Dr. Vijay Kumar for his kind support in organizing this awareness session and also thank all the participants for their support to this noble cause.
