Tamilnadu Parkkavagula Mooppanar (Surthimar) Sangam celebrating their silver jubilee   arranged a grand program at Thiruvaiyaru  ( 15 kms from Tanjavur) to  popularize the concept of organ donation in their community.

On this occasion MOHAN Foundation staff from Chennai made a presentation on organ donation. Dr.Senthilnayagam from Tanjavur, explained about Cadaver Donation and Brain Stem Death, Dr.Shanmugam explained about Blood donation and Mr.Vasanthakumar explained about eye donation. He also expressed his gratitude to one of the remote village who donate their eyes after every death.

3000 members gathered on this occasion and participated in the programme. Senior staff from MOHAN Foundation distributed over 500 Organ Donor card. The Mooppanar Sangam members decided to carry over this message “GIVE LIFE…. SAVE LIFE” in every meetings they conduct in future. This would give the required boost to organ donation in the state of Tamil nadu.
