MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. N.S.D. Makarand to arrange an Organ Donation Awareness Stall at CVR Engineering College as a part of their event "CIENCIA 2k15” on 26^th & 27^th March 2015. Ciencia is a National Level Technical Symposium organized by CVR College of Engineering and has over the years diversified greatly and has gained an excellent reputation as a major event for the students of engineering stream.

Students from other engineering colleges across the country participated in this science fest. The main aim of organizing this program is to educate students about organ donation, bring awareness about organ donation among their family members and motivate them to pledge.

Dr. Koti Reddy of MOHAN Foundation explained on the importance of deceased organ donation explained the purpose, necessity, complex issues in deceased organ donation, concept of brain death, cultural and religious barriers, THO Act, myths related to organ donation, and the importance of carrying the donor card.  

There were about 500 students that visited our stall and there were more than 200 youngsters pledged to donate organs and were distributed donor cards, information brochures, and family donor cards. We thank the management and students of CVR Engineering College for giving us this unique opportunity to spread awareness among youth on organ donation and also the organizers Mr. Makarand, Ms. Sushmita, Mr. Subhash, Mr. Shiva Kumar Reddy, and Mr. Shoukath for helping us in making this event a grand success.
