MOHAN Foundation was invited by Sri. Venkateshwar Rao to conduct an awareness session on organ donation at Senior Citizens Welfare Association of Krishna District on February 20, 2015 as a part of their monthly program for freedom fighters.

There were about 50 members that have actively participated in the event and all the members were distributed donor cards and family donor cards, information brochures and activity reports of MOHAN Foundation. They have requested for arranging for body donation and also enquired on the necessity of the consent of family members.

Ms. Shanti of MOHAN Foundation spoke about the importance of deceased organ donation, religious and cultural barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, benefits of transplantation, T.H.O 1994 Act, concept of brain death and myths surrounding organ donation.

We thank Sri. Venkateshwar Rao for helping us in organizing this event to promote organ donation and also thank all the participants for their active participation.
