On 28^th September 2014, MOHAN Foundation Chandigarh conducted an Awareness Program for NSS volunteers at Govt. Home Science College. Over 150 volunteers attended the program. The program was organized as part of the one week residential workshop of the college students.

The In charge Lecturer Dr. Ritu Pradhan and Mrs. Chhaya Verma took the initiative of awareness on the noble cause of Organ Donation.

After opening words by Dr. Ritu and Mr. Sudhir Dewan, The main Presentation was taken up by Ms. Nilakshi, Program Coordinator, Chandigarh, Taking the volunteers through facts and myths about Organ donation. She talked about Brain Death and the ever increasing waiting list for Organs failure patients.Mr.Dewan educated the students about cadaver Donation and its importance in a very lucid manner.

Every student in the audience not only signed the 'Donor Card' as a token of their pledge for Organ Donation but also promised on to spreading the word around to their families and friends.Ritu Pradhan after knowing more about the cause showed great interest in conducting more such sessions with organization.
