On 2^nd November, 2013 an awareness talk on organ donation was organized by Alumni of 1985 SSLC batch, of Thrichennamangalam Govt High school, Peringanad. They invited Mrithasanjeevani, Kerala Network for Organ Sharing (KNOS) to deliver a talk on organ donation. The programme was held at Ex-Servicemen hall, Peringanad.

Mr. Robin Baby, General Convenor - Alumni, delivered a welcome speech. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Chittayam Gopakumar, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Adoor. He spoke about the importance of Organ Donation and he showed the signed donor card. Following that Mr. Aneesh P. V, Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation deputed to Mrithasanjeevani Kerala, delivered a talk on organ donation. Using a powerpoint presentation he explained about organ donation. In his talk he covered following topics: Importance of organ donation, Types of donation - live and deceased donation, deference between natural death, coma and brain death, KNOS website, importance of donor card and how the patients can register their name in the cadaver transplant registry.

Around 60 people participated in the programme and all the members picked the donor card. The alumni members have collected 150 ‘willing to donate’ forms from their residential area.  These forms were handed over to Mr. Aneesh P. V. The programme ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Venu B. Mudackal, alumni member.
