On April 13, 2025, an organ donation awareness session was conducted by Ms. Prarthana, Public Education Counsellor from MOHAN Foundation, at the Blinkit Store in Wahal, Navi Mumbai. The session aimed to educate the staff on the importance of organ donation and encourage them to consider pledging as organ donors.

Ms. Prarthana comprehensively covered all the essential topics related to organ donation. She began by explaining the concept of organ donation and emphasized its significance in saving lives. She then discussed the different types of donors, highlighting the distinction between living and deceased donors. A clear explanation was provided on the difference between brain death and cardiac death, which helped clarify common misunderstandings. Ms. Prarthana also addressed several myths and facts surrounding organ donation, helping to dispel misinformation and encourage informed decisions. Lastly, she guided the audience on how to register as organ donors, making the process clear and accessible to everyone.

A total of 15 staff members attended the session.The session was well-received and interactive, with staff members actively participating and raising questions. Educational pamphlets were shared, and participants were informed about the process of pledging to become organ donors.

The staff appreciated the effort taken to raise awareness and expressed interest in learning more and supporting the cause.
