On February 6, 2025, an Organ Donation Awareness Talk was conducted by Ms. Prarthana public education counselor of MOHAN Foundation at NRI Coastal Police Station Uran, Navi Mumbai, for the station's staff members. The session aimed to educate the police personnel on the importance of organ donation, debunk common myths, and encourage them to become part for the cause.

A total of 28 staff members attended the session, demonstrating keen interest in understanding the concept of organ donation. Ms. Prarthana explained the difference between cardiac death and brain death, emphasizing their significance in the organ donation process. She highlighted the current need for organ donors in India, addressing key concerns and misconceptions that often discourage people from pledging their organs. The session was highly interactive, with attendees asking insightful questions regarding eligibility, procedures, and the impact of organ donation on saving lives.

Two staff members were deeply moved by the session and pledged to become organ donors, taking a step towards giving the gift of life to those in need. The session encouraged a broader discussion on the importance of organ donation within law enforcement agencies, recognizing their role in spreading awareness within their communities.

Many attendees expressed their willingness to share the information with their families and colleagues, further amplifying the awareness initiative.
