The International Women’s Association invited MOHAN Foundation for an awareness on organ donation on Feb 18, 2025 at the Presidency Club, Chennai. As part of the Health and Ecology vertical of the club, Mrs Lalita Naidu and Maya Patwardhan invited members to join for a talk and discussion on Organ Donation. Around 20 members attended the talk. 

Dr Hemal Kanvinde and Mr Ganesh C were the resource persons representing MOHAN Foundation. Green ribbons and information brochures were distributed. Dr Hemal  spoke of the need for donation, how and when donations can be done.  She elaborated on brain death and its difference from coma.  She touched upon the myths in society and the role of the government in organ donation and transplantation.  Few films of recipients were played. 

There was a lively discussion on the role of family in consent to donation, time gap for a donation post death, understanding brain death and how to improve awareness in society.  

5 members  promised to donate their organs after speaking to their family. MOHAN Foundation thanks the president Ms Sadiya and Stefanie for their effort to bring this cause to their members.
