On October 24, 2024, the MOHAN Foundation was invited by Bhartiya Vidyapeeth College at Kharghar to conduct an awareness session for students of the Management and Studies Department.

The program was well-attended, with approximately 92 students and 6 faculty members, totaling 98 participants. Of these, 52 students pledged their support for organ donation.

The session was led by Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi, who began by engaging the students with questions to assess their existing knowledge about organ donation and transplantation. She highlighted the critical importance of organ donation and the growing need for donors in today’s society.

Ms. Prarthana provided a detailed explanation of organ donation, discussing the types of organs that can be donated after natural death and brain death. She encouraged an open dialogue about students’ perceptions of posthumous donation, fostering a thoughtful discussion on the topic.

Additionally, she emphasized the role of the MOHAN Foundation and how young people can serve as ambassadors for organ donation advocacy.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks from Mrs. Pooja, who encouraged the students to raise awareness about organ donation, share their wishes with their families, and actively promote this vital cause within their communities.
