On 4^th October 2024 MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr. Sumita, NSS Program Officer of Mount Carmel Senior Secondary School, Sector – 47 B, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their Students at the NSS camp of their School.  Approximately 50 Students from Class 11^th and two Teachers attended the program.

NSS Volunteer addressed the students and gave a brief introduction on Organ Donation to their students.

Students were given an introduction & presentation on how important is Organ donation and tissue donation and too many people waiting for transplant by Ms. Neha Sharma.

In this talk she explained the following points: -

• Organ donation types and who can be a donor
• The status of Organ Donation in India and their requirements vs donation rates
• She challenged 5 myths with 5 facts on Organ Donation
• Difference between natural death and brain death
• Age is not a constraint in donating their organs.
• Real life stories of an organ transplant being shared with the participants
• Importance of the Donor card
• To pledge their organs they can register at MOHAN Foundation

All the students were highly motivated and promised to promote the cause by discussing with their families and peers.
