On September 16, 2024, MOHAN Foundation (MF), NCR, was invited to a prayer meeting in honour of a donor at Aggarwal Bhawan, Prashant Vihar, Rohini, New Delhi. Representing the Foundation were Ms. Simran Anand and Ms. Sanya Santosh, Programme Officers from MF, Delhi NCR.

 

The prayer meeting commemorated Mr. Rajendra Arya, 83, who passed away from natural causes on September 3, 2024. His family generously donated his corneas and skin. MOHAN Foundation coordinated the tissue donation, with ICARE Eye Hospital and Post Graduate Institute, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, retrieving the corneas, and Safdarjung Skin Bank, New Delhi, retrieving the skin.

 

During the event, Ms. Anand provided the audience with detailed information about eye and skin donation. MOHAN Foundation also presented a certificate to Mr. Arya’s family, recognizing their generous contribution.

 

Ms. Anand concluded her address by encouraging attendees to become proud organ donors and take the pledge.
