Online Course on Transplant Coordination Professional Certificate (July 1, 2024 - August 13, 2024)

The MOHAN Foundation successfully completed its six-week online course, the 'Transplant Coordination Professional Certificate,' running from July 1 to August 13, 2024. The course attracted 83 participants (India - 76, Indonesia - 2, Nepal - 2, Kenya - 1, Ghana - 1, and South Africa - 1).

 

The program was conducted through an online platform, providing a range of learning materials (40 modules), assignments and assessments, aimed at enhancing participants' understanding. This comprehensive course promoted active participation and helped participants apply their knowledge effectively in practical situations.

 

One of the key highlights of the training was the weekly interactive webinars led by experts in organ donation and transplantation. These live sessions increased participant interaction, creating a more engaging and cooperative environment. During these discussions, participants could exchange ideas and interact directly with the speakers, enhancing their overall learning experience.

 

The webinars focused on essential topics related to;

  • Basic concepts of organ donation and transplantation
  • Transplantation of human organs act and its provisions
  • Brainstem death - Concept, identification and certification
  • Role of transplant coordinator in recipient coordination
  • Deceased Organ Donation - Role of a Transplant Coordinator

A course completion certificate was awarded to 69 out of 83 candidates who successfully met the course requirements by passing the online examination held on August 13, 2024.
