On August 26, 2024, MOHAN Foundation set up an information desk in the OPD of the Medicine Department at Lata Mangeshkar Hospital & Medical College in Hingna, Nagpur. The initiative was managed by Mr. Bulu Behera, who distributed pledge forms and informational brochures to patients with the approval of Mayank Gadkari, Administrative Officer of the hospital.

Mr. Behera provided comprehensive information on various aspects of organ donation, including the basics of organ donation, eligibility criteria, differences between live and deceased donation, and the types of organs and tissues that can be donated. The session also covered crucial topics such as different types of death, the distinction between coma and brain death, organ retrieval and transplantation time factors, and the Organ Transplant Act of 1994. Additionally, discussions included hand transplants, transplant priority lists, and the differences between MLC (Medico-Legal Case) and non-MLC cases.

Myths and facts about organ donation were addressed, along with historical perspectives and the importance of donor cards. The event saw the participation of approximately 25 patients and their relatives,  2 of whom signed pledge forms to donate their organs.
