On August 7th, 2024, the MOHAN Foundation Mumbai organized an impactful organ donation awareness talk for the staff members of L & T Patil and Sons at CBD-Belapur Railway Station. The initiative, led by Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi, Public Education Counsellor at MOHAN Foundation, aimed to educate and inspire staff members, students, and the general public about the importance of organ and tissue donation.

During the event, Ms. Prarthana delivered an insightful presentation on various aspects of organ donation, addressing common queries from the attendees. Her talk covered several key topics:

1. What is Tissue Donation? — Explaining the importance of donating tissues such as corneas and skin.
2. How Deceased Organ Donation Can Save Multiple Lives? — Highlighting how a single deceased donor can save multiple lives through organ donation.
3. What is Cadaver Organ Donation? — Clarifying the process and impact of organ donation after death.
4. Body Donation — Discussing the noble act of donating one's body for medical education and research purposes.

Attendees were encouraged to pledge their support by filling out pledge forms, which were accessible via a QR code displayed on a banner. A total of 22 staff members from L & T Patil and Sons attended the talk, Pledge is taken by 16 staff members of CIDCO Belapur. Ms. Prarthana also exchanged contact details with several enthusiastic participants who expressed interest in organizing further awareness camps in their workplaces or communities.
