On July 31, 2024, an enlightening awareness talk on organ donation was organized for the students of Shardeye Consultancy CHS, Kamothe, Navi Mumbai, by Mrs. Shaileja Joshi, Director of the Institute. The event was coordinated by Mr. Sachin in collaboration with Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi, who served as the speaker for the day.

Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi provided a comprehensive overview of organ donation, introducing the MOHAN Foundation and its initiatives. She covered several key topics, including:

1. The concept of organ donation and its various types.
2. The process of organ donation and transplantation.
3. Common myths and facts about organ donation.
4. The distinction between tissues and organs.
5. A video on brain stem death was shown, and the concept was thoroughly explained.
6. Information about the MOHAN Foundation’s helpline was shared with the audience.

The session was both interactive and informative, with approximately 15 students participating in the event. The students expressed their sincere gratitude to Ms. Prarthana and the MOHAN Foundation for providing such a valuable and educational experience.

One question raised by the audience was about the age limit for a deceased person to donate their eyes.
