On the occasion of Indian Organ Donation Day, On (3rd August 2024) Mrs. Parveen Mahajan, Ambassador, MOHAN Foundation, organized awareness session on organ donation for the students of SDF, Beauty culture at Toga Village Punjab. Around 40 students from various centres of Maloya, Manimajra & Toga attended the session. Indian Organ Donation Day has been observed annually since 2010. Its purpose is to raise awareness about brain stem death and organ donation, dispel myths and misconceptions, and encourage citizens to donate organs and tissues after death. Shakunatala Devi Foundation is a Chandigarh based non-profit organization. It is a family run trust working for the empowerment of women. They believe in imparting skills to women so that they become financially independent. The organization is committed for Social Welfare programs, working for women empowerment. At the beginning of the session, Ambassador Mrs. Praveen Mahajan welcomed all the participants. In this talk, she explained the following points: -
At the end,She distributed broachers to promote Organ Donation. Participants made ''Posters on Organ Donation'' in local language “Punjabi” and in “Hindi” and also made organs on their hands from (mehandi )Henna to promote Organ Donation. Mrs. Parveen Mahajan gave the vote of thanks. The entire group got motivated and convinced to support organ donation. ALL of them pledged for Organ Donation and expressed their views on organ donation. |
