Christ College of Arts and Science was established in 2008 by the Catholic Christian Archdiocese of Madras - Mylapore at Kilachery village, Thiruvallur district. On August 12, 2024 an awareness session was organized for the students, so they could understand the basic concepts on organ donation. Ms. Arshiya Fathima was the resource person of the day. 

The awareness session was organized in the college auditorium, filled with an energetic  young  audience. The session commenced with Tamizhthaai Vazthu and a warm welcome speech by the college student. Dr.J. Arul Mani, Principal introduced MOHAN Foundation, and shared information on Deceased Organ Donation.

Ms. Arshiya Fathima explained the concepts of organ donation, brain death, transplantation, warned against scams, myths on organ donation, registering as Organ Donor/Recipient and effective usage of Organ Donation Helpline: 1800 103 7100.

450 students and  MSW teaching staff participated and made the event a memorable one. The students gave positive feedback stating “the session was very informative”. The program came to conclusion with a vote of thanks given by Mr, Alan, organizer of the program.
