MOHAN Foundation was given an opportunity to create awareness on Organ Donation for members of the Red Ribbon Club (RRC) on August 13, 2024. Around 60 RRC volunteers from different departments of the CTTE college attended the session.

Ms. Arshiya Fathima. H (Helpline counsellor) was the resource person for the session. To begin with she distributed green ribbons and information brochures to all students.

Mrs. Sandhya, RRC coordinator introduced the work of MOHAN Foundation and the speaker. Ms. Arshiya Fathima began the session with Q&A activity to get the volunteers thinking about the cause. There were interesting answers from students. This was followed with a talk on the Concepts of Organ Donation and Transplantation which included who, what, when and how donation can happen. Additional information on eye, skin and wholebody donation was provided. She also explained brain death and shared a recipient story through a video.

Atlast Ms. Arshiya conducted a quiz based on depiction of organ donation in Tamil movies, it was a very interactive session. with students.
