On July 31, 2024, the MOHAN Foundation, in collaboration with G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering & Management and IGGMC Nagpur, organized an event focused on life-saving skills and organ donation awareness for management students. The event was expertly coordinated by Dr. Sakshi Sadhwani (Chhbria), Associate Professor and Centre of Excellence In-Charge at the college. The highlight of the event was a compelling presentation by Dr. Vaishali Shelgaonkar, Professor and Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at IGGMC Nagpur. Dr. Shelgaonkar’s presentation underscored the critical importance of organ donation, providing valuable insights into its impact on saving lives and improving health outcomes. The event’s logistics and arrangements were managed by Dr. Sonali Khobragade and Dr. Parag Sable, Associate and Assistant Professors of Anaesthesiology at IGGMCH, respectively. Their efforts ensured a smooth and effective execution of the session. Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator from the MOHAN Foundation, played a key role in distributing informational brochures and pledge forms to the attendees. The session was well-attended by approximately 150 individuals, including teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as representatives from the Women's Wing of Raisoni Engineering. The event aimed to enhance awareness about organ donation and encourage a commitment to this vital cause. It successfully fostered a greater understanding among participants and promoted active engagement in life-saving practices related to organ donation. |
