On July 31, 2024, the MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct an awareness session at Air Force Academy Hakimpet Hyderabad. They approached the MOHAN Foundation for an awareness talk on organ donation for their staff. Dr. Bhanu Chandra was the speaker. 

Dr. Bhanu Chandra started the session by asking a few introductory questions on organ donation, then introduced the MOHAN Foundation to the trainees of the Air Force Academy and kept the audience engaged throughout the session. The following were discussed in detail:

• Concept of brain death and organ donation
• Blood donation
• Whole body donations
• Myths involved in organ donation
• When and how does organ donation take place?
• Organs that can be donated during life and after death
• Transplant waiting list in India
• Brain death and clinical aspects of brain death
• Differences between brain death and coma
• Role of the MOHAN Foundation
• Eye donation

Dr. Bhanu motivated the audience to pledge for organ donation and explained the importance of a donor card. Brochures and donor cards were distributed at the end of the session. Mr. Chakraboti, principal of the academy, and all staff appreciated MOHAN Foundation activities and pledged 50 members for their organs.

Nearly 150 participants attended the session.
