Webinar on Organ Donation conducted by MOHAN Foundation, Hyderabad Team

  • On 21st May 2024, MOHAN Foundation Hyderabad conducted a webinar for the employees of Tech Mahindra of Bahadurpally and Hitech City SEZ campus. Dr. Bhanu Chandra, Sr. Transplant Coordinator from MOHAN Foundation was the key speaker. The following were discussed in detail:

    • After natural death, which tissues can be donated, and what are the time factors?
    • What is the difference between coma and brain death?
    • Is organ donation possible if the patient is in a coma?
    • What are the legal and ethical implications of organ donation?
    • What does the Transplantation of Human Organs Act of 1994 say about organ donation?

     

    Dr. Bhanu Chandra spoke also about the role of MOHAN Foundation in promoting organ donation and various other avenues to sensitise the masses on organ donation. The participants enthusiastically posed several questions.

     

    Close to 109 Tech Mahindra staff attended the session from two areas.
