MOHAN Foundation in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, Mohali is conducting a one-week, face-to-face “Transplant Coordinators’ Training Programme” from August 22 - 26, 2022.
The success of organ donation and transplantation depends upon good counselling and coordination by transplant coordinators. The Transplantation of Human Organs (Amendment) Act, 2011, has made Transplant Coordinator nomination mandatory before a hospital is registered as a Transplant Centre. This means there is a huge requirement of Transplant Coordinators across the country.
In order to meet the growing demand for Transplant Coordinators, MOHAN Foundation has embarked upon training programmes to suit the needs of these health care professionals. We have conducted several training programmes in the country and trained 3015 transplant coordinators between December 2009 and March 2022.
