On 20th July, 2011, Friendship Forum of India, New Delhi, honoured Mr. K. Raghuram with "Bharat Excellence Award" for outstanding service to society in the field of organ donation. Mrs. Lalitha Raghuram received the "Mahila Sree" award from them for her meritorious service rendered to the society for the past 25 years. Sri.G.V.G. Krishnamurthy, Ex-Chief Elections Commissioner commended the services rendered by the couple, who proudly mentioned "they are from my State and I am proud of them".
