Students of Sankara College of Nursing, Kancheepuram promotes organ donation through activities

  • On December 16 ,2024 Sankara College of Nursing and MOHAN Foundation

    collaborated to conduct multiple events to create awareness on Organ Donation. The events were Poster designing, Rangoli, Ramp Walk and Mime.    While these programs were being conducted Mr Ganesh conducted a session on Concepts of Organ Donation for the first year students of Nursing.

    Around 80 students participated and expressed their feelings about organ donation in the form of words and arts.

    14 students participated in Poster designing

    15 teams in Rangoli competition

    12 students in Ramp walk and

    3 student groups in the Mime competition.

    Dr Hemal Kanvinde, Ms Arshiya Fathima & Mr Ganesh from MOHAN Foundation were the guest judges. Their judging was based on creativity, concept and explanation. Top three were chosen in every category and were awarded a memento as a prize.

    Meanwhile Mr. Ganesh began the session with the concept of organ donation, brain death, time factor, getting organs through government, laws & govt. schemes, pledging as a donor, voluntary body donation, myths, safeguarding from scams. Around 120 students participated in the awareness session and 2 teachers and about 20 students picked a donor card.

    MOHAN Foundation extends its warm gratitude towards Prof. Dr. A. Rathiga (Principal) and Mrs. Kanchana (Vice Principal) and staff for providing this wonderful opportunity.
