Nursing Students holding Donor Card
MOHAN Foundation, transplant coordinators organized a sensitization program on organ donation for the students of School of Nursing, MMC. Around 174, students who are pursuing their Diploma in Nursing attended this session.

Topics:
- The concepts of organ donation
- When can a person donate his/her organs
- Organ donation procedures
- Donor card
- Organ donation Statistics
- Role of a Nurse in transplant coordination
- How to improve eye donation
Questions raised by the students:
- Which organ will be removed first?
- What is the cold ischemic time of each organ?
- What is the use of donor card?
- How many times an organ can be transplanted?
At the end of the program all the students expressed their support by pledging for a donor card.
