On 24 th December 2022, Mr. Satish Gangurde Director of Instituteorganized awareness talk on organ donation for students (1 st Batch) of New Oxford Tech Computer Institute, Nerul, Navi Mumbai Mr. Satish coordinated with Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi to conduct this talk.Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi was the speaker for the day. She addressed thegathering and introduced MOHAN Foundation and its activities to the audience and touched upon the below topics:
1 Concept of organ donation and its types
2. Process of organ donation and transplantation
3. Myths and Facts about organ donation
4. Difference between tissues and organs
5. A video explaining brain stem death was displayed to the audience andthe concept of brain stem death was explained.
6. MOHAN Foundation’s helpline was shared with the audience. The session was interactive and informative around 25 students participated in the event. The students expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Prarthana and MOHAN Foundation for conducting avaluable session on organ donation.Questions asked by the audience
1. What is the process of body donation?
2. What is the age limit for a deceased person to donate his eyes?
