Sensitization Programme on Organ Donation at Saraswati Paramedical College, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai

  • On February 15, 2025, MOHAN Foundation conducted an Organ Donation Awareness Session at Saraswati Paramedical College, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. The session was led by Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi, who introduced MOHAN Foundation and its mission to promote organ donation.

    She engaged the audience with interactive questions, emphasizing the need and importance of organ donation in India. Through a detailed presentation, she explained the concept of organ donation and transplantation, highlighting the difference between cardiac death and brain death. She elaborated on the procedure for deceased and live organ donation, as well as the process of skin and bone donation. Additionally, she addressed common myths and facts about organ donation, helping to dispel misconceptions. She also discussed the role of MOHAN Foundation in promoting and facilitating organ donation across the country.

    The session was attended by paramedical students and faculty members, who showed great enthusiasm for the cause. Many participants actively engaged in discussions, and 14 individuals pledged to donate their organs and received their donor cards. In total, 72 people attended the session.
