


Dr. Bhanuchandra was invited by Dr. Vikram of Omni Hospitals, Kothapet, Hyderabad to conduct a sensitization program on organ donation for their staff and nurses on May 9, 2017. All the concepts on organ donation with an emphasis on the concept of brain death, Transplantation of Human Organs Act, myths and misconceptions were explained to the staff members and nurses.
The reasons for poor organ donation rate and the increasing demand for organs and the statistics on organ donation and transplantation were discussed in detail.
There were around 60 members of staff and nurses that attended the program. All the members of the staff keenly listened to the presentations and have come up with a lot of questions during the Q&A session. We thank all the participants for playing an active role during the sessions and also thank Dr. Vikram and the management of Omni Hospital for organizing this program.
