SDNB Vaishnav College – 1st year Social work students visited MOHAN Foundation for an observation visit as part of their field work curriculum. 13 students accompanied by one staff attended the session on “ORGAN DONATION”.
The MIS Officer Ms.Gayathri gave an introduction about MOHAN Foundation and the objectives. Transplant Coordinator Ms.Sujatha explained the basic concepts of organ donation, followed the experience in coordinating organ donation at Government General Hospital, Chennai and organ allocation, sharing and finally real case stories of donors was shared by the Transplant Coordinator – Ms.Veena.
All students including the staff pledged for organ donation and they also picked few donor cards for their family and friends. The students have decided to organizing a campaign – “Organ Donation” for the whole college.
