MOHAN Foundation NCR office coordinated and welcomed solo cyclist Mr. Rajeev Maikhuri to Gurgaon for his uniquely designed “Ride of Life Cycle” campaign on December 19, 2020. Rajeev is a senior Transplant Coordinator with Organ Retrieval Banking Organization (ORBO) since almost its inception in 2002. He has counseled numerous families for organ donation.
Rajeev’s passion towards the cause of organ donation and transplant inspired him to design the exceptional “Ride of Life Cycle” campaign during the COVID lockdown wherein he has undertaken to ride to create awareness on organ donation. Since August 15, 2020, he has cycled through North India and covered a staggering distance of more than 1000 kms. As part of the campaign, he has educated general public that he meets on the way, has visited organ recipients, met donor families paying his gratitude to them as well as NGOs, hospitals etc. In Gurgaon, he visited Fortis and Artemis Hospitals. In each destination, his T-shirt was signed and masks sponsored by NATCO (Network and Alliance of Transplant Coordinator) were also distributed. NATCO is a registered non-profit charitable trust with the vision to improve the professional careers of Transplant Coordinators and promote organ donation. His unique campaign has also received sponsorship by NATCO to appreciate and encourage his extraordinary effort to spread awareness on organ donation.
Rajeev visited MOHAN Foundation -Delhi NCR office. He was facilitated by a special mug and T-shirts designed by MOHAN Foundation as a token of appreciation of his campaign.
MOHAN Foundation wishes Rajeev all the very best as takes this campaign to other parts of the country for organ donation awareness.
