On January 21, 2014 an awareness session on organ donation and transplantation was conducted by MOHAN Foundation, Delhi-NCR at JCSS Consulting Pvt Ltd, Gurgaon.
JCSS is an Accounting and Regulatory Services firm based in India. Headquartered at Bengaluru, JCSS led by an experienced team of professionals, aims at providing creative, practical issue based solutions. Since its inception in 2000, JCSS has been rendering advice to over 250 clients spread across a broad spectrum of industries ranging from Infrastructure to Manufacturing, Construction to Information Technology.
The session was organized by Mr Srikanth Balakrishnan, Director, JCSS Consulting Pvt Ltd, Delhi branch and coordinated by Ms Shubra Singh, HR, JCSS.
The session was conducted by Dr Muneet Sahi, Senior Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation. It was a small group of 10 people who attended the talk. Many important aspects of organ donation and transplantation were highlighted through a powerpoint presentation.
Post the presentation there were many queries from the audience regarding brain death and cardiac death, tissue especially eye donation and the importance of carrying the donor card. All the queries were handled in a professional manner.
The talk was so well received that 9 people pledged to donate their organs upon death by signing the donor card.
